The Click Technique- Lindsey Anderson

 

Today’s guest in the Winning Teams Podcast is back by popular demand.  She is Lindsey Anderson, founder of trafficandleads.com. She has acquired the moniker  “One-Click Lindsey” which we will explain later. Her work is all about generating leads and traffic to your website. She specializes in landing pages, email marketing, SEO, etc.

She recently published a book called the “C.L.I.C.K Technique”, which is truly a brilliant roadmap to getting leads online.

Lindsey started a web development firm 12 years ago. Customers would come to her to build websites and expect instant sales. “But that’s not how the Internet works!”, she says.

Her firm has fine-tuned their specialty in digital marketing. Her moniker “One Click Lindsey” came from one of her clients who she shared an office building with. This customer asked her help to generate more traffic and leads for his business. It was a long process but eventually, she was able to get that “one-click” after 6 to 8 weeks of trial and error and testing.

Her customer was very excited. When they met at the front door as per usual, he said to her, “Well, well, well…if it isn’t One-Click Lindsey.” And it clicked for her! “One-Click Lindsey” is easier to remember than Lindsey Anderson.

That’s what she does! She helps people generate more traffic and leads through digital marketing.

I highly recommend Lindsey’s book, The C.L.I.C.K technique. It is a great how-to book that brings you step-by-step and demystifies a lot of things. Even non-technical people can understand it (like me!)

Lindsey recommends Rework by Jason Fried which details a great way to view your business. There are two key points that she loves from this book:

  1. Ignore the competition, it keeps you small.
  2. Good enough is fine.

She is also an extremely early riser. She usually wakes up around 4:30 am. Gets up early, gets things done and takes care of her 3 kids who are all under the age of 7. Another thing that she advocates is time blocking which is massively important. When she learned how to time block, it has changed her life and business.  It has helped her get things done throughout the day and achieve her goals.
