Scott Beebe, who is a strategist, teacher and business coach, is a strong proponent of systems, and he really works with his clients to automate the minutiae to ensure that the time is spent on the important and business generating activities.
We waste too much time, says Scott, doing repetitive actions that could be systematised and made automatic. In the interview he shares his approach to doing just that.
As he says, “it is not complex, but it is painful” and absolutely necessary if he want to build a real business rather than just creating another “job” – a trap many entrepreneurs fall into.
His approach is to identify the key activities – e.g. operations, accounts, marketing and reporting and start to systematise those. This will save so much time in the long term.
I found Scott’s view on the integration of faith and work to be really fascinating and I would encourage everyone to listen to that here.
