Joshua Latimer is the founder of www.AutomateGrowSell.com and he certainly knows how not to fail!
Like many great entrepreneurs, where he set out to be is not where he is right now! But he determined that.
Joshua started out his career as a banker with JP Morgan in Michigan but soon realised he did not fit into the role of an employee, and so decided to take a completely different route.
Taking a complete right turn he set up a cleaning business as he believed it ticked the boxes of being a niche, scalable and sellable – three critically important elements for success!
Joshua built that business from zero to $150,000 per month, and then sold that business in 2015.
He then moved his family from the chilly climate of Michigan to the much warmer Costa Rica from where he runs his 2 businesses now.
The first is www.automategrowsell.com where he coaches other business owners to build a scalable, valuable business.
To build that sort of business Joshua believes that you have to do the following:
- Be really clear about your why
- Define in great detail all the activities that must be done to build and run that business
- Delegate as many of those task to others and/or automate them
- Take on the role of coach to others
- Spend your time on high level activities that will drive your business on
Joshua is passionate about the fact that systems are at the base of all successful businesses and too many entrepreneurs do not pay enough attention to that.
“Just doing enough”, as Joshua says is what many entrepreneurs do, and that gives them no margin for unexpected bumps on the road. That and not managing cashflow properly is what causes so many issues.
Joshua has also developed an app which I think is brilliant and can be found at www.sendjim.com. This app will help you stay in touch with your clients and develop new business opportunities with them. The novelty factor here is that the app will send material the old way – through the post! And this is becoming more effective due to it’s rarity factor. This product is currently only available in USA but will be coming to other markets soon.
