Today we will be talking about tackling the future to be successful with Jim Jubelirer. Jim is from North Carolina. He is the Founder of the Results Group. He also goes by the title of The Exponential Advisor.
His massively transformative purpose is to create an equitable and sustainable world for everyone. His moonshot is to see the transformation to 100% renewable energy worldwide in his lifetime. A very loft but worthwhile goal, I must say!
Jim is a business coach who works with growth companies and inside corporations. He spent a big part of his career doing management consulting around customer satisfaction and service quality. He helped GE start Six Sigma and ran Royal Caribbean’s guest satisfaction tracking program. He has also always had an interest in learning, growing and leadership development.
Now, Jim is now an Executive Coach in Duke University’s Leadership Development Programs. He works with companies and also does some executive coaching one on one. Jim’s work is called Exponential Mindset. It’s to help people realize there is a different way. You can adopt a positive mindset and adopt new daily practices.
One of the basic principals is we are always going to have fear, uncertainty and doubt in our mind. Jim has made it a mini-career to study the habits of successful people. If you look at the secrets of people who have really gone on to experience success, they respect the voice of fear but we want to put it in the back seat of the car and not let it drive. There are practices and affirmations around positive thinking about affirming what you want rather than fearing what you are afraid.
Meditations is another powerful practice. You need to do something regularly to move your body and get out of your head. Another general practice is to think about your results in the next five years and how they will in part be a function of the five adults you spend the most time with. If you are around negative people, you will take on negative thinking. You also have to know your Why.
In this episode hear more from Jim on these topics:

– Discovering your Why
