Steven Shallenberger

Today’s guest is Steven Shallenberger of Salt Lake City in Utah. He is the founder and chairman of Becoming Your Best Global Leadership, a company based on the breakthrough book Becoming Your Best.

Steven was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area where he was raised relatively poor. His parents divorced when he was 15. Steven has always been a hard worker. One of his first jobs was in an Italian restaurant followed by many others.

He first started his company at 16, a maintenance service company. At 26, he opened his first marketing company. Over the years, Steven has bought and sold 11 companies in 4 different industries.

Steven became fascinated by high performers and their success. He decided to speak with various individuals who had experienced success. He interviewed over 150 CEOS and high performers about their life, success, habits, etc. He found that they all did 12 things.

In this episode of The Series of Winning Teams Podcast, we discuss how Steven got to where he is today, the importance of having a vision and a plan and the habits associated with high performers.

In this episode hear more from Steven on these topics:

Steven shares the book that has had the greatest impact on him. The book he shares is How to Win Friends and Influence People. He gained great value from the book, including the advice to take time to learn and memorize names.

He also loves the line from the book about the fact anybody can criticize, complain and most people do but it takes a real individual of character to compliment and find the good.

Stevens daily rituals consist of living in peace and balance. He uses prayer and meditation as well as exercise to do so.
